Paul Chatem’s exhibit “The Death of BigHead” is great example of “low brow” art. His comic-like characters convey a very vivid and somewhat dark narrative. The aged and industrial feel of his work is further underlined by the parts of his paintings that are in fact gears that are manually controllable. Definitely an interactive exhibit that has to be seen in person.
